Taiga, led by CEO Lee Won-Seok, announced that its product ‘Moss Air’ has been honored as a ‘Best of Kickstarter’ project by the world’s largest crowdfunding platform, Kickstarter.
On the 17th, Taiga stated, “Among the 12 products that received innovation awards at the recently concluded 2024 CES, ‘Moss Air’ was included as a ‘Best of Kickstarter’ project, alongside another domestic company, Graphene Square.”
At the 2024 CES, ‘Moss Air’ received the CES Innovation Award in the ‘Sustainability, Eco-Design, and Smart Energy’ category for its air purification system utilizing natural moss’s humidity and air purification effects.

Notably, ‘Moss Air’ achieved the highest funding amount among Korean projects on Kickstarter last year. Through collaboration with global crowdfunding agency Setoworks, led by CEO Jerry Cho, ‘Moss Air’ secured over 1 billion KRW in pre-order sales solely through global crowdfunding platforms, including Kickstarter and Indiegogo in the U.S., Makuake in Japan, ZecZec in Taiwan, and Wadiz in Korea.
Unlike conventional air purifiers that only remove fine dust, ‘Moss Air’ reduces concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and carbon dioxide through its moss filter. Additionally, by exposing moss on the product’s front, it offers a nature-friendly interior aesthetic.
Taiga specializes in developing air purification products and building materials using moss. Recently, they established a 66,000㎡ moss cultivation farm in Taean-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, and are diversifying their business by developing indoor moss purification systems.
Nathan, Kickstarter’s Design and Tech Public Relations Manager, who visited the ‘Moss Air’ booth at CES in Las Vegas, commented, “‘Moss Air’ is an innovative product that satisfies both functionality and design, unlike any previous moss-based products. This aspect was effectively communicated to both the Kickstarter team and backers during the campaign.”
CEO Lee Won-Seok expressed, “Through the ‘Moss Air’ Kickstarter project, we have gained confidence in global expansion, and the overwhelming interest from overseas buyers motivates us to continue developing innovative products.” He added, “Together with Setoworks, which successfully managed projects on platforms like Makuake in Japan, ZecZec in Taiwan, and Wadiz in Korea, we plan to unveil a new product utilizing moss on Kickstarter in the first half of this year.”
