Setoworks, led by CEO Cho Choong-Yeon, announced on January 2 that three products it managed through global crowdfunding have been honored with Innovation Awards at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024, scheduled from January 9 to 12 in Las Vegas, USA.
The award-winning products include Taiga’s ‘Moss Air,’ Woongjin Thinkbig’s latest innovation, and Barun Bio’s ‘WE-STIM.’ Setoworks played a pivotal role in overseeing global crowdfunding campaigns for these products on platforms such as Kickstarter, as well as providing content consulting for their CES presentations.
Taiga’s ‘Moss Air’ is an air purifier that leverages the natural humidity and air purification properties of moss. It received the Innovation Award in the ‘Sustainability, Eco-Design, and Smart Energy’ category. Notably, ‘Moss Air’ achieved the highest funding among Korean projects on Kickstarter in 2023. Through collaborations with Setoworks, it secured over 1 billion KRW in support across various global crowdfunding platforms, including Kickstarter and Indiegogo in the U.S., Makuake in Japan, ZecZec in Taiwan, and Wadiz in Korea.

Barun Bio’s ‘WE-STIM,’ honored in the ‘Wearable Technology’ category, harnesses natural electrical energy generated from body movements. It utilizes specially designed conductive fibers within clothing to transmit this energy to specific body areas, aiming to enhance athletic performance and aid muscle recovery. Following its Innovation Award recognition, ‘WE-STIM’ plans to launch a global crowdfunding campaign on platforms like Kickstarter, with support from Setoworks.
CEO Cho Choong-Yeon expressed, “The consecutive CES Innovation Awards for products we’ve consulted on underscore the excellence and innovative ideas inherent in Korean products.” He added, “Setoworks remains committed to identifying outstanding products and facilitating their entry into global markets through avenues like Kickstarter, thereby expanding their reach and sales channels.”
Attendees can experience these CES Innovation Award-winning products firsthand at the Las Vegas Convention Center during the event.
Setoworks has managed over 700 global crowdfunding projects, making it one of Asia’s leading firms in this domain. Notably, it is the first in the crowdfunding industry to be designated as a specialized trading company and has been selected as an official partner of Alibaba. The company also offers services through export and innovation vouchers, further supporting its clients’ global outreach.
