
Setoworks, a marketing company led by CEO Jerry Cho, has announced a strategic partnership with Alibaba.com to expand its global influence. This collaboration aims to leverage Alibaba.com’s extensive platform, which supports over 47 million buyers across more than 5,900 product categories, to facilitate the international expansion of Korean small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Through this partnership, Setoworks plans to broaden the range of Korean products available on Alibaba.com, which currently includes over 80,000 items from 1,000 companies spanning categories such as beauty, food and beverage, machinery and electronic components, healthcare, automotive parts, home appliances, living, garden supplies, clothing, and sports goods. Additionally, Setoworks intends to actively support Korean SMEs in entering the Greater China market.
Marco Yang, Head of Alibaba.com Korea, stated, “We plan to assist more SMEs in expanding overseas to ensure Korea maintains its position as a strong exporter in the digital trading era.” He added, “Alibaba.com will provide various educational resources and digital tools to help Korean SMEs showcase their designs and products in overseas markets, achieving favorable outcomes. Moreover, we will strive to establish the latest technologies, including online trade, logistics systems, and digital SaaS services, enabling Korean SMEs to respond swiftly and effectively to the rapidly changing global market.”
