Hyundai Economic Daily Reporter Choi Hyo-kyung | SETOWORKS, a global go-to-market (GTM) specialist, announced on the 16th that Peeps’ “fan merch bag,” a Korean fandom bag brand targeting consumers in their teens and 20s, raised more than approximately USD 41,000 (KRW 60 million) on Taiwan’s crowdfunding platform Zeczec.
The project ran from the 6th of last month to the 15th of this month on Zeczec, Taiwan’s largest crowdfunding platform. As a result, it secured a total funding amount of NT$1,318,482 and 624 backers. SETOWORKS emphasized that this represented 13,184% of the original funding goal and proved that Korean fandom lifestyle products can also generate a positive response from Taiwanese consumers.

The Peeps fan merch bag is a fandom-specialized bag designed for use in a variety of situations, including concerts, fan signing events, and everyday outings. According to the company, key features include a lightweight 750g design, dedicated pockets for small merchandise and photo cards, a large-capacity structure that can hold A4 documents, tablets, and laptops, and water-resistant materials.
According to SETOWORKS, the Taiwanese market shows strong preference for K-pop, K-content, Korean fashion, and lifestyle products, and has a clearly defined consumer base that is willing to experience new products early through crowdfunding. In particular, SETOWORKS analyzed that Zeczec is not merely a sales channel, but also a platform where product marketability, price acceptance, local messaging response, and consumer feedback can be verified at the same time, making it a suitable gateway for Korean brands preparing to enter Taiwan and the broader Greater China market.
Meanwhile, Zeczec is a platform founded in 2012 with approximately 70% share of Taiwan’s crowdfunding market. It has carried out more than 10,000 projects to date and is regarded as a key crowdfunding platform in Taiwan.
