A service designed to reduce Kickstarter launch costs and increase success potential for Korean startups and SMEs
SETOWORKS, a global go-to-market (GTM) solutions company led by CEO Cho Choong-yeon, announced that it officially launched LaunchFitKS on the 23rd, a diagnostic service designed to assess product fit for Kickstarter launches.
LaunchFitKS is a data-driven AI diagnostic solution designed to help individuals, startups, and SMEs with products determine within five minutes whether their product is suitable for a U.S. Kickstarter launch, what improvements are needed, and how likely it is to succeed. SETOWORKS and its subsidiaries have operated more than 200 full-scope Kickstarter projects since 2016 as official Kickstarter Expert partners.
LaunchFitKS incorporates SETOWORKS Group’s accumulated Kickstarter operating database and the results of AI analysis of more than 300,000 Kickstarter data points. It also reflects know-how from more than 1,300 global crowdfunding projects conducted in Korea and part of behavioral data from more than 500,000 global customers.
SETOWORKS explained that LaunchFitKS was launched to help manage the uncertainty of overseas expansion through diagnostics based on quantified big data and AI logic. Companies can assess in advance whether their product can be accepted in the global market, what budget and preparations are required, and what messages should be used to approach consumers. The service is structured to identify factors that may arise just before launch, such as poor market fit, lack of price competitiveness, insufficient content quality, and low advertising efficiency.
LaunchFitKS is offered in three versions depending on a company’s product development stage, level of preparation, and required depth of detail. Companies can choose from the free Basic version, which allows them to check marketability, as well as the paid Pro and Expert versions, which provide data analysis and feedback.
For startups and SMEs with limited global market entry experience, LaunchFitKS can be used as a preliminary step before professional consulting to determine whether their product is suitable for Kickstarter, whether it has funding potential in the U.S. market, and what needs to be improved.
Cho Choong-yeon, CEO of SETOWORKS, said, “Global crowdfunding is not a market that can be approached by intuition or experience alone.” He added, “We developed LaunchFitKS so that Korean companies can quickly evaluate market potential at a lower cost, based on actual operating data and global customer response data accumulated across major platforms such as Kickstarter in the United States, Makuake in Japan, and Zeczec in Taiwan.”
Meanwhile, SETOWORKS has official partnerships with major global crowdfunding platforms in three key markets, including Kickstarter in the United States, Makuake in Japan, and Zeczec in Taiwan. Based on data accumulated over the past 10 years, the company has built global go-to-market (GTM) solutions. As a result, SETOWORKS was designated as a Professional Trading Company by Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy in 2023 and has been selected for six consecutive years as an export voucher program service provider.
