[Seoul = Newspim] Reporter Cho Han-woong = SETOWORKS, a go-to-market (GTM) specialist company, announced that it has completed the "K-Archive Vol. 2" pop-up exhibition, held over four days from July 24 to 27 at the Tsutaya Electrics event hall in Tokyo, Japan.
Held for the second time following the March edition, the pop-up was promoted in advance through the official Tsutaya Electrics website ahead of the event.
The Vol. 2 event introduced an O4O (Online for Offline) purchasing system that let visitors experience products in person on site and then place orders immediately via QR code. SETOWORKS also arranged a limited online mall running for one month after the pop-up closed, so that consumers unable to visit during the exhibition period could still purchase the products.
During the event, officials from Culture Convenience Club (CCC), the operator of Tsutaya Electrics, as well as from Tsutaya Electrics+, visited the venue and reviewed the Korean products on display. "Excellent products that are popular in Korea are welcome at any time," a CCC official said.
Building on the results of the exhibition, SETOWORKS plans to pursue a local branding strategy centered on entry into Japan's offline retail market. The company will build a phased structure covering entry into major retail channels, permanent display sections and regular exhibitions at department stores and key locations, and linkage with local Japanese distribution and buyer networks. Through this structure, it will support Korean brands in securing brand awareness and sales channels in the Japanese market.
"Japan is a market where consumers handle a product themselves and build trust before choosing a brand," said Cho Chung-youn, CEO of SETOWORKS. "By standardizing a structure that validates products offline and expands them online, we will make Korean brands ones that consumers in Japan continue to choose."
SETOWORKS is a Specialized Trading Company designated by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Environment, and an official implementing agency for the Export Voucher program. Using the Export Voucher program, the company can carry out offline events for buyer discovery, local market validation (PoC), and Japan GTM strategy consulting.
