Startup Aloh announced that its ‘Aloh Plasma Lamp’ has successfully concluded its Kickstarter campaign, raising approximately $115,000 (around 160 million KRW).
The ‘Aloh Plasma Lamp’ is a novel plasma desk interior product that utilizes xenon gas to create a unique plasma light, offering users an experience akin to holding a miniature universe in their hands. It combines advanced Tesla Coil technology with xenon gas to form a floating plasma ring, resulting in a product that is both aesthetically pleasing and technically sophisticated.
Lee Sun-Kyu, CEO of Aloh, stated, “We have confirmed Aloh’s potential in the global market,” and added, “We plan to communicate with consumers through crowdfunding and incorporate their feedback to introduce even more advanced products.”

Zune Koo, Director of Kickstarter Projects at Setoworks, remarked, “Innovative and challenging products like the Aloh Plasma Lamp are more effectively introduced to the initial market through crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter rather than traditional e-commerce sites like Amazon.” He emphasized that crowdfunding allows for rapid brand recognition by gauging early market reactions and engaging with enthusiastic early adopters. Following Kickstarter, there are plans to continue engaging with global consumers through platforms like Indiegogo InDemand, Japan’s Makuake, and Taiwan’s ZecZec.
Setoworks has established exclusive partnerships with platforms such as Taiwan’s ZecZec and China’s Modian, and official partnerships with Japan’s Makuake. Through joint partnerships with global B2B platforms like Alibaba, Setoworks provides hybrid marketing solutions, effectively supporting domestic companies in their global market entry as an executing agency for export and innovation vouchers.
