25 Apr 2023

Setoworks, a global funding agency, announced today that the "Hanago" by Korean company Koaura Music has successfully raised $158,000 (KRW 21 million) on Kickstarter in the United States.

Hanago, which means "Korean beneficial string instrument," is a new concept instrument with a single fret and was selected as a Kickstarter "Project We Love" shortly after its launch, attracting great interest among Kickstarter team members and backers, according to the company.

"We are pleased to see the success of HanAgo and other products with unique Korean colors on Kickstarter, following the Korean-style tarot cards that ended a few days ago," said Chungyeon Cho, CEO of Setoworks, who oversaw HanAgo's U.S. Kickstarter project. "As global interest in K-content and K-culture grows, the number of Korean small and medium-sized ventures and startups launching K-content and K-culture products on Kickstarter and Indiegogo is increasing every year."
